About Me

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, where I live today. I attended Laguna Blanca School for 11 years, receiving an excellent education that prepared me well for my studies at Yale, where I received a BA in Philosophy.

My early career, in the San Francisco Bay Area, involved the management of software products for electronic equity and options trading. This work allowed me to indulge my fascination with both finance and technology and provided me with organizational skills that serve me well today.

I returned to Santa Barbara in 2010, where my focus has steadily shifted from trading to writing. Currently, I am fortunate to do business development, brand consulting and copywriting work for a diverse group of clients while maintaining a passionate interest in volatility speculation.

I love running and I am proud to coach Cross Country at Laguna Blanca. I also love cycling, and I am proud to compete for and direct the Fig Mtn Brew Racing team.

My dog is named Radar. He’s such a good boy! I met him at DAWG
